0-4... here we come... then 4-4... then 7-9. Just feels like destiny. (1 Viewer)

they lose one more the season is probably over.
since 2006 if the saints start 2-2 or worse they miss the playoffs.
2-2 they might still have a sliver of hope, but not much.

but looks like this will be yet another 7-9 season

3rd year in a row starting 0 - 2.

Statistics say we won't be going to the playoffs this year.

Sorry guys. :idunno:
Did anyone expect we would make the playoffs really? This team is rebuilding with very young inexperienced players. At least they aren't getting blown out every week.

Did not think about that, but the op is absolutely correct

Although this year you had about as easy a 4 game start to the schedule as you can ask for, so the comeback won't be happening as the schedule gets much tougher

This is going to be a 4 or 5 win season.

I'm not sure what you guys are seeing, 2 pretty competitive ballgames, I don't think this year was ever about a championship but even with some serious depth testing injuries both games come down to the final drive. That's what you shoot for in a rebuilding year, young guys are getting serious reps and hanging in there pretty well.

I want to go to the playoffs every year.

But I honestly expect another 7-9 year.

Same old story. We'll drop draft position late in the season after we've long lost our playoff hopes.

they aren't making it back to .500 this season.
Yep.... Two tough losses with winnable games.

Teams confidence is gonna take another hit.

Then you look at our schedule....

At best we will be 1-6 before going into San Fran, 0-7 possibly. Our schedule is murderous.

The long wait for football, then the epic failure and realising our season is already over.

We will be in the top 5 picks of next years draft.

Positive spin? We could maybe get a real pass rusher?

No excuses. This is a bad football team.
So true. We can't go into any game expecting to win. Bad teams find a way to lose, and that what we are doing once again. We just ****** away one of our best defensive performances in years. Complimentary football is a thing of the past with us right now. Offense plays great, defense and special teams are terrible. ..defense plays great, offense and special teams are terrible. If there really are football gods, we have clearly angered them, and are paying the price with heart break.
Gonna be another long tough year guys, but still... who dat till the very end. Just being honest.

Too early to say definitely; it's not like we are getting blown out. D played well this week, O played well last week. Maybe we put it all together and things click then we get Rankins and Breaux back. Still a lot of football to play.

It's remarkable how no one is stepping up and making a play when it counts. Crawley, Coleman, Fleener. This is how Dallas lost over and over again last season: close losses because no one steps up when it's most crucial.
