Can't say was excited about another Bond flick anyways, this pretty much hammers the last nail into the coffin, guess they didn't learn anything after the Doctor Who fiasco.

“Sorry, but 007 is and always has been seven different white men.”
Willa Brennan • Fortnite Cartographer

“It’s nice to see how much progress black women are continuing to make in entirely fictional worlds.”
Reginald Morley • Facial Hair Artist

“A new 007 is just the thing to revitalize this franchise for a movie or two before it becomes stagnant and ridiculous again.”
Harry Davidson • Root Canal Observer

Here is a good thing for sale for real bond fans. Not in my zip code but I do want.

For my money, you have Connery and Moore and then a big pile steaming poo. There hasn’t been a good Bond movie since about 1980.

Series 11 was a complete and utter fiasco.

Lol, no it wasnt. The main thing that series got knocked for was sub par writing. Most agreed Whitaker was being hampered by subpar scripts and that the writing was generally not great, but to use the word fiasco is insane. In fact, for the most part ratings were slightly up over the last Capaldi run. You want a Doctor Who fiasco, go look at the Colin Baker years or how the Sylvester McCoy run ended. Even if it wasnt great it was not a fiasco.

Dr. Who became a fiasco when Stephen Moffat took the reins. He completely destroyed the character of Dr. Who by turning him into a sidekick for "The Impossible Girl" who was an impossibly bad actress, and the writing turned terrible because it was being forced into Moffat's vision of Dr. Who as "an idiot with a box" instead of being the smartest man in the room, which he'd always been. The show never recovered. Moffat continued to assassinate the character, having him use weapons and do and say several other things the Doctor simply wouldn't do or say.
Matt Smith was wise to get out when he did. I think he probably saw where things were going. Capaldi wasn't bad in himself, but the scripts were terrible and he simply wasn't being asked to portray the Doctor, he was being asked to play the sidekick. I can't really judge Jodie Whitaker as the Doctor because the scripts were even worse this season (which was surprising since Moffat left). The show has become a complete fiasco. Frankly, it's unwatchable now.

The Doctor becoming a woman isn't the fiasco; it's simply one part of it. The fiasco was ignoring the Dr. Who universe as it had been written, changing decades of established reality, leaving us with an uninteresting bland nothing of a character and no vision of what to do with him plot-wise. The last few seasons have been nothing but a bad parody of Dr. Who.

As for 007, the whole series also has become such a bad parody of itself, why not? It's one last joke on the whole process.
For me, the Pierce Brosnan movies put the final nail in the coffin. Casino Royale was a breath of fresh air, but Quantam of Solace sent it right back to the dregs. Honestly, why bother making more 007 movies at all? It only further dishonors Ian Fleming and the great Sean Connery films.
