My buddy is looking to sell a handed down shotgun since he does not hunt and does not like shotguns. It is a 1979 Remington Model 1100. It is in good shape for it's age. He is asking $400 and is located in Kenner.

12, 16, or 20 gauge? I have the same gun, my parents gave it to me for my 15th birthday...

Hate to tell your buddy, that gun has a little wear to it....

Looking at that trigger guard, looks like he dropped it a few times.....

12.

What you think the value of this is? I offered him $175, but he didn't take.

What does the barrel look like? Does it look as bad as the rest of the gun?

I haven't seen it in person. Looks like OK shape. Not good not bad.

Have you shot it? You really should pull it apart and see what it looks like as well. I'm sure it was exposed to a lot of moisture if he's a duck hunter. Pull off the trigger mechanism, make sure it's not jammed up with old powder residue, as well as the action spring in the stock....

I'll see if I can get it from him. It was his dads I believe and was handed down to him.
