I'm not sure how many of you have Cox digital, but if you do check out On Demand Freezone -the sports section.

In the Local zone they have the NFL Replay of the Eagles/Saints playoff game, a Sam Mills retrospective and a game of the week from 1979, featuring the Saints vs. Tampa Bay in Tampa.

The Saints win 42-14, racking up over 200 yards rushing against what was then the #1 ranked defense in the NFL. For those who forgot, these same Bucs would end up in the NFC Championship game vs. the Los Angeles Rams.

If you have wondered what Archie, Chuck Muncie, Tony Galbreath, Henri Childs, Tommy Myers (all but Galbreath would be named to the pro bowl that year) looked like, check it out... You have until 4/21, then they replace it with something else.

They have stuff that rotates in and out of that On-Demand channel all the time. I love seeing what they put in there!

Maybe someone could upload the video, so we can download it. :)

Here's the best copy I could make until I find a better slingbox recorder.

I have that burned on DVD but from what I remember it wasn't the whole game. It was more like the NFL Replay games.

It's a game of the week type of highlight package, narrarated by Harry Callas -longtime voice over of NFL Films. Charley Steiner does the intro and the closing.

It's all NFL Films footage, not television, which NFL Replay uses (and augments with NFL Films).

I've only seen a couple of actual television broadcasts showing plays from 70s era Saints games, and that was more to highlight an event -i.e. Don Criqui's call of Tom Dempsey's 63-yard field goal- not reshowing the actual game.

-i.e. Don Criqui's call of Tom Dempsey's 63-yard field goal-

Don Criqui or Al Wester?

I remember Criqui ripping the fans over stopping the game with boos, and a **** YOU CRIQUI bedsheet banner (briefly) in the upper deck NW corner the next week....

....but I thought the radio call was Wester's.

Al Wester did the radio call, but Criqui did the television broadcast.

A long time ago, someone provided a link to the television footage, but I can't find it...
