A player's strike threatened to disrupt the league again in 1987. Replacement players were obtained, and there was only one week without football. Coming off that week, the Saints were 1-1 and the Rams were 0-2.

I remember this one. The arrival of John Fourcade. Several comical plays in this one, along with, what once was, the longest TD pass in Saints history--having since been beaten by Heath Shuler and Drew Brees.

Loved when the fans started chanting "Stay on Strike!"

P.S. Best uniforms in Saints history by far. Should be brought back!
