Nov. 1, 1987 - the Saints travel to Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta at 4-3. The Falcons are 2-4.

This was the first game after the "Coulda Woulda Shoulda" speech and started the historic 9 game winning strek in 1987. I grew up watching this team. Good times.

Nothing better than shutting out the Falcons on the Saints' birthday--All Saints Day!
 
Rueben Mayes over 100 yards, Dalton Hilliard with over 60, 30 of which came on a nice TD run, Barry Word, and Mel Gray :eek: scoring a running TD each. What happened to the gas pedal down offense? It got so conservative. Nice victory, though, and sounded like a home game. :hihi:
