I cringe every time I see Cincinnati take Sedrick Ellis at #9. If Ellis slips past the Jets, we definitely should trade up to NE or BAL.

Yah, if he's there at #7, we better send our 1st and 3rd to NE, and get Ellis.

btw I see Oakland taking McFadden and Jets taking Gholston jmo.

The Ravens would take Clady (Ogden's pending retirement), Ellis, or another CB (DRC or Mike Jenkins) before they reach for jackson.

Do you guys think we are the only team that would want Ellis? It isn't as easy as just saying "hey a 3rd round pick is of value, trade with us now." Chances are if Ellis does make it to 8 or 9, the Ravens or Cincy will try to clean us out if they know we really want to move up to get him. Think about it. If we are really willing to give up a 1st and 2nd or 3rd to get Ellis, its quit possible a team like Cincy who has a big need at DT is just as content to pass on such an offer if they feel Ellis is of that value. Same for any team up to 5 (at which point we wouldn't have the ammo to move up any futher unless we trade our 1st rounder next year). Whatever team it is will have the upper hand in the deal if one is made. Simply matching up draft picks on value charts isn't going to get it done.

I just think the Ravens desperately need a playmaker on offense, so that is why I see them reaching for Jackson at 8.

I can see NE trading with Gholston gone.

I'm not sure about a clearly superior CB this season at the 7th pick. Settling for a CB at 10 and another pick gained seems like BB's type of move.
