With the move and all that has been going on, I haven't had time to work on my Saints History website until this weekend.

Here are some of the areas where our 2006 Saints broke or tied franchise records...



Drew Brees set the following Saints records in 2006:

--- Completions (game): 37 vs Bengals on 11/19/06
--- Total Yards (game): 510
--- Total Passing Yards (game): 510 vs Bengals on 11/19/06
--- Completions (season): 356
--- Total Yards (season): 4,418
--- Total Passing Yards (season): 4,418


Reggie Bush tied the following Saints records in 2006:

--- Most points (game): 24 vs 49ers on 12/03/06
--- Most rushing TDs (game): 3 vs 49ers on 12/03/06
--- Most TDs (game): 4 vs 49ers on 12/03/06


John Carney set or tied the following Saints records in 2006:

--- tied - Most PATs (game): 6 vs Cowboys on 12/10/06
--- Most PATs (season): 46


Deuce McAllister set the following Saints records in 2006:

--- Rushing Yards (career): 5,596
--- Rushing Attempts (career): 1,298
--- Rushing TDs (career): 50
--- 100 yard rushing games (career): 27
--- 1,000 yard rushing seasons (career): 4


Joe Horn set the following Saints records in 2006:

--- TD Receptions (career): 50
--- 100 yard receiving games (career): 27


Michael Lewis set the following Saints records in 2006:

--- Punt Returns (career): 142
--- Punt Return Yards (career): 1,482
--- Kickoff Returns (career): 243
--- Kickoff Return Yards (career): 5,903

And with at least one more year of Horn and a few years of Brees, we'll see a bunch more records set.


I know that Drew had a GREAT season, but it really says something about our QBs of the past when one year of Brees puts him at #7 on the list of QBs.

3100 yards next year would move him into 4th, and he already is the most accurate Saints QB (64.3%) in Saints history (minimum 25 attempts).
