for $38,000...a good deal?

Many of you guys keep up way better than me on the new/cool car deals. Is the Saab a good buy at that price?

I'm not sure about the 9-3. I like the old design up through 2002. Generally speaking if you like the car and buying it too keep you should be happy with it. Saab's are not the best at value retention though if you plan to trade in three years.

Leasing might be a better way to go with Saab.

The 9-3 is getting a significant interior revamp for 2007:

Don't know if that influence your decision.

Personally, I now want the 9-5, which is not significantly more expensive than the 9-3. My girlfriend has a 2003 9-5. I drove it up to her house in New Hampshire for Xmas.

It is the sweetest road car I have ever driven. Very powerful and smooth and an extremely comfortable and ergonomic interior. Absolutely loved it. Check out the 360 degree virtual tour here:

If you are thinking Saab at all be sure to drive the 9-5 too. There are 0% financing deals out there right now that make the 9-5 essentially in the same price range as the 9-3. It's roomier and fuel economy is almost identical.

Given the additional room and more comfy interior of the 9-5, $38,000 seems a bit pricey for the 9-3 from my perspective.

don't really know Taurus, but in addition to the links blackadder gave you check out http://Edmunds.com. They should be able to give you the price they are selling for.

I just heard today on the way home from work that Lamborguini sales in the US were up 50% from last year.... must be nice.......they mentioned that all high end model car sales have gone up.....

Thanks, guys.

If the 9-5 came in a convertible, we'd look at it. Mrs. Taurus wants a ragtop.
