Who would you like to have the Saints open with?

The candidates: (remember, San Diego is already taken)

vs. GREEN BAY PACKERS <---eliminated
vs. CAROLINA PANTHERS
vs. ATLANTA FALCONS
vs. MINNESOTA VIKINGS <---eliminated
vs. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
vs. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
vs. OAKLAND RAIDERS <---eliminated
@ WASHINGTON REDSKINS <---eliminated
@ CHICAGO BEARS <---eliminated
@ CAROLINA PANTHERS
@ ATLANTA FALCONS
@ DENVER BRONCOS <---eliminated
@ TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
@ KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
@ DETROIT LIONS

Me? I want the Bears... front and center.

Atlanta at home!

@ Chicago, @ Denver, @ Kansas City - Get one of those potential snow games out the game early. Denver would be a tough draw, but hey we have to play 'em sometime; I'd much rather it be in September than December.

Agreed about the snow games!!

Preferably Chicago. We have played them twice in the cold on their turf. Time to bring it home!! Can't think of a better way to start than burying the Bears!

we're past due for a home opener...

i know we've been solid on the road but i want a home opener period

I was thinking about this the other day, and since 2000, we've only had two home openers.
Of course, 2006 the Superdome wasn't ready to be played in yet, so it left the NFL no choice. But still ...

2000 - vs. Detroit
2001 - at Buffalo
2002 - at Tampa Bay
2003 - at Seattle
2004 - vs. Seattle
2005 - at Carolina
2006 - at Cleveland
2007 - at Indianapolis

Two things:

Bucs and Panthers early so we know where we stand in the division.

Bears early so they don't get the snow advantage.

Bucs, Panthers, Bears would work.

@ CHI if on the road the heck with it ALWAYS being in the cold frigid temps give us a sept/oct game this year
VS GB if at home. It would be nice to give Rodgers his first official NFL loss :hihi:

Not trying to thread jack, but another question about schedule. Hopefully, we get a home MNF game. Who would you like to see in the Dome? My pick would be the Vikings and AD in the Dome. My first choice would have been the Chargers, oh well.

Falcons, Niners, Raiders, or Chiefs. I want an easy early schedule, like we had 2 years ago, not hard, like last year, so we can start off hot again, and build our confidence.

Way past due, last one was when? Not 2007, 2006 or 2005.
