we dont need 2 de's that early, maybe one in the first rd either jerry hughes, selvie and maybe corey wooten and in rd 2 maybe a rb or cb either jonathan dwyer only if mike bell doesnt resign or cb trevard lindley who is great in man coverage and would be a upgrade over randall gay at nickel as far as dt i hope we can get vince wilfork in free agency if not him get the dt from duke in the 3rd round vince oghobasse(check spelling)

you're right. my sig is just a projection value board between two or three players who may or may not be there when the saints pick. i doubt that players like wooten and gresham will make it past the top 20 but then you never know because both are coming back from knee injuries.

usually in the middle of the week when saints news is slow i just like to keep my eye on future stars from the college ranks and make early projections.

man, you better hope that bell re-signs. :nono: i'm too lazy to change my avatar.

Thought we just got through with the offseason?! Please don't bring it back so soon... want to enjoy the actual season first.

Stop flamming, this gives us prospects to look at on Saturday and keep in mind during top 10 highlights.

Thanks for posting, if you don't like the thread don't click on it!

it's mid-week of the bye so i figured that i'd make a weekly post on interesting draft pics on the slowest day of the week when nothing else is going on.

a guy i really like who could help us out in many ways next year on offense and special teams could be the next devin hester/desean jackson.

nothing wrong with bye week thoughts. I would say a OLB, DLINE DEPTH (can always use more), TE depth, maybe another RB?

I say Draft someone to work on the D-line with Ellis. Trade off the rest of the picks and use the rest of the money to retain FA's and give raises to staff and players. :mwink:

i like this kid he plays tonite agaisnt NEB.

Sean Weatherspoon

College: Missouri
Height/Weight: 6-1, 245

Weatherspoon played as a true freshman in 2006 and has started 28 games over the past two years. He had 155 total tackles in 2008, plus five sacks and returned two interceptions for touchdowns. He plays weakside backer and is an aggressive player with speed, who is a good blitzer and a good player in space. Weatherspoon can play every down and should play a lot of years in the NFL. He was a high jumper and point guard in high school

I like a lot of the guys y'all are posting and since we will be picking very late in the draft it's at that time we can get one of these guys that will fall for some reason, possibly Gresham due to injury. I think if we had Shockey/Thomas and Gresham we'd be set at TE for a long time.

Wow, that'a an Arrington-like catch.

We need a LT, a DE, and a LB. That's all.

Any DE/OLB Tweener/Hybrid types, AKA a toy for Gregg Williams, for the draft?

I agree. I think we use 2-7th round picks to draft for depth on Oline, TE, and DT.

Oh, but that 32nd pick. Let's just let GW pick whoever he dang well pleases. Call it a thank you for everything he has done for us this year. Let him pick whatever piece he thinks will fit into our D the best. At this point, I wouldn't even care if it was another MLB considering our "Elephant" and 3-4 type packages.
