PFW Notes: Last name is pronounced “bee-YUH.” Played halfback, safety, cornerback and was a kick returner as a Georgia prep. Also excelled in track, running the fastest 200-meter dash (21.46 seconds) in the state. PFW Notes: The Texas native didn’t play football until his junior season of high school, preferring basketball. Originally committed to Arizona, but his enrollment was not approved by the NCAA Clearinghouse. Did not play football or attend school for the next year as he helped support his family, with his mother dying of cancer. Redshirted in 2007. Appeared in three games in ’08, posting one tackle, one tackle for loss and zero sacks. Recorded 8-½-0 with one batted pass in 11 contests in ’09. Played in all 13 games as a reserve in ’10 and collected 11-2-1 with two batted passes. Registered career highs with 25-6-2 with two passes batted down in 13 games in ’11. Started the first five games of the season before taking on a reserve role the rest of the season. Looks every bit the part with a rocked-up, athletic build — has an NFL physique. Shows easy lower-body movement and has a 36-inch vertical leap. However, played just one season of high school football and started just five games as a senior at TCU — instincts, football IQ, hand use and pass-rush moves are rudimentary. Has never been able to focus solely on football, which has not come naturally, but is a hardworking, mature, very raw size-speed prospect with moldable talent and untapped potential. Ideally suited for the practice squad, as he will require patience and simple assignments. Turns 25 in December.

PFW Notes: Also lettered in basketball as a prep. Saw action in all 13 games in 2008 and 11 games in ’09, primarily on special teams, without recording a catch. Started 8-of-13 games in which he played in ’10, primarily as a blocker, catching five passes for 43 yards and a TD. Started 2-of-12 games in ’11, recording 1-14-0. Very good size. Works to position, seal and lean on defenders. Lines up in line and was used as a motion player. Has special-teams experience. Solid personal and football character. Works hard in the weight room. Lacks bulk strength to drive defenders off the line. Does not play with pop or power in his hands. Inconsistent sustain. Bends at the waist and gets beat outside. Average initial quickness and athletic ability. Tight hips. Is not nasty. Non-factor as a receiver. Big, smart, dependable, blocking tight end who is at his best when he goes unnoticed. However, he lacks exceptional traits and is the type you look to replace.

3-Cone Drill: 6.97

PFW Notes: Was a dual-threat quarterback while also serving as the punter and placekicker as a Florida prep. Redshirted as a wide receiver at Toledo in 2007. Transferred to Pearl River (Miss.) Community College in 2008, where he caught two passes in two games before suffering a season-ending ankle injury. Spent the ’09 season at APSU as a backup quarterback to Panthers 2010 third-rounder Armanti Edwards, seeing action in all 14 games (one start against Western Carolina). Completed 20-of-36 pass attempts (55.6 percent) for 241 yards with no touchdowns and one interception and rushed 70 times for 306 yards (4.4-yard average) and three touchdowns. Also spent time as a returner — registering 24 punt returns for 134 yards (5.6-yard average) and no touchdowns with two kickoff returns for 11 yards (5.5-yard average) and no touchdowns. Was primarily a running back and kick returner in ’10 in 13 games (seven starts), posting 115-671-6 (5.8) as a rusher, 32-733-0 (22.9) as a kickoff returner and 12-72-0 (6.0) as a punt returner. Also managed 19-218-1 (11.5) as a receiver. Played with a broken left thumb and sustained a hip pointer against Georgia Tech that hampered him down the stretch. Started 11-of-12 games in ’11 and totaled 151-651-6 (4.3) rushing, 34-333-1 (9.8) receiving, 14-87 (6.2) on punt returns and 26-632 (24.3) on kickoff returns. Sustained a head injury against Georgia Southern. Fumbled 10 times in 393 touches with a 5.0-yard career average. Leader in all-purpose yards (112) at the Battle of Florida Classic. Has a big frame and lean definition. Nice peripheral vision to sidestep tacklers. Keeps his legs pumping through contact and fights for yards. Also was used as a receiver and return man. Mature and mentally tough. Outstanding football character — motivated, hardworking and dedicated. Is high-cut with a thin lower body. Runs tall and gets tripped up by ankle tackles. Lacks speed to break away. Average foot quickness and burst. Heel striker. Gathers to cut. Played in a spread system with big splits and holes to run through. Limited run strength. Carries the ball loosely. Durability could be an issue. A good-sized, athletic, competitive, FCS standout who has overcome tall odds, Cadet is a jack-of-all-trades, but master of none lacking standout physical traits for the pro game. Versatility and intangibles will have to carry him.

PFW Notes: The Alabama prep played only one year of high school football, as his mom was in the Army and they moved around often. Redshirted in 2007. Played in all 11 contests in ’08, starting nine, and registered 41 tackles, six passes defended and a team-leading three interceptions with 2 1/2 tackles for loss. Started 8-of-10 games in which he played in ’09 and posted 23-4-1 with half a tackle for loss and a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown. Did not play against Murray State (illness). In ’10, posted 34-4-0 with three tackles for loss, one sack and a blocked kick in 11 starts. Missed the season opener against Mississippi (ankle). Experienced, athletic, competitive, balanced cornerback who shows nice bend and balance along with zone awareness, short-area quickness and a willingness to tackle. Average playmaking ability and inconsistent downfield ball reactions — recorded just 17 pass breakups and six interceptions as a four-year starter. Adequate sized with a lean, underdeveloped frame — needs to bulk up and get stronger (bench-pressed 225 pounds only eight times).

PFW Notes: Was an all-state selection in football while also participating in football and track as an Ohio prep. Saw action in all 13 games, making five starts, as a true freshman in 2007 and made 25 catches for 430 yards (17.2-yard average) and two touchdowns. Became the second Miami freshman to ever crack the 100-yard receiving mark in a game (112 yards vs. Minnesota). Led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns after hauling in 35-513-7 (14.7) in 12 games in ’08. Was a versatile receiver, making nine starts at three different WR positions. Made only two starts (“Z” receiver) in ’09, grabbing 11-98-0 (8.9) before undergoing season-ending left shoulder surgery (torn labrum). Returned to play in 11 games in ’10 and recorded 26-385-1 (14.8) while missing three games with an ankle injury. Made seven starts — the first five games at the “Z” receiver, one at “H” position and one as a fourth wide receiver. Started all 10 games played in '11, grabbing 60-695-5 (11.6) and missing two games with a concussion.
