In order to avoid reading through 40 pages of the 2013 NFL draft thread I've decided to recap and update my positional rankings for prospects that exclusively fit the Saints' system, both offensively and defensively Gleaned Entirely from the Draft thread. If other well know prospects are omitted it is only because I do not view them as being good fits.

With only a month to go until draft day and with pro days nearly entirely completed, I think this is a good time to review and list my rankings as a summary/companion thread to the 2013 draft thread. I will not be posting them all concurrently but I hopefully will have them completed within the week.

First positional ranking is 3-4 outside linebackers.

No Dion Jordan?

Jarvis Jones rated behind Joe Kruger and Devin Taylor? :idunno:

What kinda formula have you used for rating these guys?

Projected best fits at the next level.

I've never seen Jordan as a 3-4 OLB for this team, which If I didn't make clear enough above is why he is not listed here, my apologies. Many prospects like Jones in reality will be drafted much higher than where I rank them, but this breakdown is strictly for the players who I view would have the most immediate impact for the team.

Projection Formula would include measurables, production, Intangibles, Rob Ryan/Sean Payton's scheme's and previous tendencies.

He's slow but so is Larry Foote

Larry Foote | Michigan, OLB : 2002 NFL Draft Scout Player Profile

He isn't the big hitter that Rey Malaluga was but I do see Teo as a solid in-the-box SILB and he is a factor in coverage, Unlike Lofton. He had 7 ints last year.

I was expecting to see Tank Carradine on this list. He's quickly becoming my favorite guy for us to pick up at #15 the more I watch him. He can fit on the strong or weak side and displays enough athleticism to drop into coverage if needed. He's strong, can hold up at the point and can arguably rush the passer better than anyone projected in the first round.

Re-reading through the list BTW.

Has he healed from his ACL injury? If so I will definitely add him to my SOLB rankings.

There are lesser known players who I may have over-looked or have never even heard of so I am still open to suggestions. Bleedit , posts prospects who I've never come across before on a weekly basis in the Draft Thread.

Yeah, he's suppose to be running pretty soon if I recall correctly. Without that ACL, he's probably top 5 in this draft class. I like him on the strongside like you but I think he can play the weakside also, were he played in the 4-3. I haven't been able to find a "real" weakness in his game other than he's just a bit raw and still developing as a pass rusher.

Another guy on my radar is Quanterus Smith. He alone with Carradine are by far my favorite pass rushers in this draft. Smith has better hands than anyone in this class and I'm not sure I see a close second. That game against Alabama was a joy to watch. I'd project him strictly on the weakside though. Unlike Carradine, I'm not sure about the status of his ACL.

His hand use is impressive and he is strong at the point of attack. He's not a pure speed guy but I can see him being as effective as Corey Lemonier.

Late round corner sleeper is Kayvon Webster out of USF. Speed and excellent tackler. Think he'd be a great prospect

I considered Smith as a late first rounder at DE under Spagnolo before he got hurt.

What troubles me about smith is his arm length in proportion to his height. Im not sure how good he will be at disengaging blocks in the run game at the next level as an OLB but I can see a team trying him there. I do, however still like his motor and think that he will be best in a 4-3.
