A word about Nick Brossette: He is the second best RB in the state this year, including Leonard Fournette. He will be the best RB in the state n ext year and one of the top in the country before it's all said and done. The video I posted in his capsule has clips from his freshman year at U-High.

Xavier Lewis (DB) was committed to LSU, but recently de-committed because he wants to look around. I think LSU probably still leads for his talents.

Patrick Vahe (OG) is a cousin of the Teuheme brothers and is expected to sign wherever they go. That's far from a lock, but that's the scuttlebutt. He is currently a Texas commit. (VIDEO)

Why is it that when I go to ESPN's recruiting site for 2015 none of the top players have a score higher than 89, while this year the top players all had scores of 90 or above? Is it just because they are juniors this past year?

No idea. ESPN is probably the least accurate and respected of all the recruiting organizations, though. I prefer Scout for LSU information. 247 has been growing the past year or so. I really like how they measure a recruits probability of attending a school by combining multiple recruiting sources. Rivals is the old standard, but they don't seem to get as good information about LSU players as Scout does.

Under no circumstances do I ever use ESPN for a source of anything. They poach old news from the others and then occasionally fall into something original on someone in the top 25 area.

This weekend is also a big weekend for recruiting. Several top prospects for 2015 and 2016 will be attending. Word is that Fournette and Dupre are taking a big part in this weekend, recruiting former teammates and friends to join LSU next year. Kevin Toliver is also supposed to be there.
