One of my first tries at fanspeak

It's pretty sad if that's the highest score you can get. I get over 1,000pt without ever trading. Having 13 picks and a B eating is laughable. I also never understood why you'd trade for so many picks when we all know that's never actually happen. I like to play that but only make 2 trades at the very most. To each his own tho.

Another shot at it. One trade. Didn't go full 7 rounds.

Pocic to play guard backup center.

We all keep drafting guards on these sites (me included). Seems that way.

But with Avery Young, Landon Turner, and Jack Allen coming up, who's to say we even need a guard? All three of those guys had draftable grades.

One of my best/favorites so far:

Your score is: 10799 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 11: Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford (A+)
Round 2 Pick 10: Sidney Jones, CB, Washington (A+)
Round 3 Pick 12: Dorian Johnson, OG, Pittsburgh (A)
Round 4 Pick 11: Duke Riley, OLB, LSU (A+)
Round 6 Pick 12: Brian Hill, RB, Wyoming (A)
Round 7 Pick 11: Kenny Golladay, WR, Northern Illinois (A+)

Not really a fan of First Pick, it isn't even close to realistic. Fanspeak is where it's at. Especially post-combine.

3 rounder:

1: EDGE - DEREK BARNETT - TENNESSEE
2: TE - JORDAN LEGGETT - CLEMSON
3: LB - RAEKWON MCMILLAN - OHIO STATE

Your score is: 9409 (GRADE: B-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 18 (TENN): Zach Cunningham, OLB, Vanderbilt (B+)
Round 2 Pick 10: Dan Feeney, OG, Indiana (A)
Round 2 Pick 16 (IND): Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State (A)
Round 3 Pick 5 (TENN): DeMarcus Walker, DE, Florida State (A+)
Round 3 Pick 12: Anthony Walker Jr., ILB, Northwestern (B)
Round 3 Pick 14 (BALT): Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State (B)
Round 4 Pick 11: Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson (A)
Round 4 Pick 16 (BALT): Chad Wheeler, OT, Southern California (A)
Round 6 Pick 12: Brian Hill, RB, Wyoming (A)
Round 7 Pick 11: Charles Walker, DT, Oklahoma (B-)

I like straight up picks. Trades are just too far out there. In the real world, you have to find someone willing to trade with you. Even with straight up picks, your mock gets blown up when 1-2 players are gone.

Here's how I like to do it. No names, many will be gone anyway.

1 Edge rusher
2 QB
3 G
4 ILB
6 CB
7 Joker

People will red thumb me for this but gut feeling that Solomon Thomas will end up a better player than Barnett. Thomas intangibles are off the charts and I think once he puts it all together he could be a perennial all pro. Barnett seems like a very high floor guy but his ceiling is lower than some that will be available at 11. Difference between project and ceiling but Thomas and Williams even Mckinnely flash wow potential to me more than Barnett does. I would be happy with any of the top DE's because anyone of these guys is a massive upgrade to Kruger but those three guys are more explosive than Barnett. Remember Jarvis Jones (another fan favorite pick on the board) had a ton of sacks (28 in two years also 43.5 TFL in same span) and production in college but it didnt translate to the NFL, not saying they are the same player but it happens. Not saying Barnett will be a bust but I like some of the other edge prospects better.

Apparently they're oblivious as to what our team needs are. That draft with no trades is definitely not a "C" grade.

Even right before the draft last year, these sites had our needs completely wrong.
