Will there be stiff competition for these spots or do you think the choices you presented are shoe ins for the job.Andy Dodd is leaving the program as a graduate transfer.

I think this means we will see a starting lineup of
LT: Malone
LG: Brumfield
C: Clapp
RG: Teuheuma
RT: Weathers you
You might see see Deculus squeeze in there at LG or maybe even LT.

Well, those are the guys who started or received the most playing time. I threw in Deculus because he's such a promising prospect, he's already enrolled and it's my understanding he's already one of the strongest players on the team. Will there be stiff competition for these spots or do you think the choices you presented are shoe ins for the job.
What about depth? Are we looking okay there?

Talent-wise, depth shouldn't be too much of a concern. Experience-wise, it's a concern. I have read that Cushenberry will be the backup center behind Clapp. Jakori Savage, Donavaughn Campbell and Willie Allen are the experienced guys on the roster now. Charles and Ingram from the new class will probably get some playing time, but hopefully we stay healthy. The depth and talent is there on the interior. I think OT is a concern, especially LT. Malone is back, but he didn't exactly play at a high level there.
Malone was a 3* because he was very raw. He's a 5th year senior now, so he's earned the start. I think he's better than most give him credit for, but he's not up to the same level as those who has previously manned that spot (Collins, Caulk, Whitworth, etc). More importantly than individual skills is how the line works together. Grimes does a pretty good job of getting the best five as a unit out there.yeah, I am not too excited to have Malone at LT again. I don't think he has the quickness to be a LT. Maybe a RT, but he looks more like a guard to me. I am not an OL coach though I am just going by what I see.
But that speaks to the issues we have had on the OL the last few years, especially against Bama. Our tackles can't handle the outside rushers. Malone was I think a 3* recruit, and I think was a G in HS. So we move him out of position going up against 5* freak shows at outside pass rusher. No wonder we can't pass. Hopefully either Malone or someone else steps up and secures the outside.

Because, as Orgeron joked, why would it need to? “Some of them will eventually get back to the I, but I think we’ve had enough practice there that we don’t have to practice it,” Orgeron said.
