2018 Prospects to Watch (1 Viewer)

I think MI is more physical than Harris. He was at Alabama and he his now. MI is a collision RB.

Oh no... I think Ingram is definitely the better RB, but Harris is similar enough (and has untapped potential) that he could possibly be a viable replacement for MI with the potential to be as good as Ingram, if it works out.

In my opinion, keeping MI is the best option.

I'll add WR Marquise Brown, Oklahoma to my list. Many don't have him as a top 10 WR in this class, but I just like him. Reminds me of Tyreek Hill.
I don't care how small this guy is, he would be amazing in this offense

I don't know how to rate OL so I didn't. Considering our draft is half complete, I truly believe we could make a lot of waves in the next 3 years.

Updated favorite targets for our 2nd round pick. In no particular order.

CB Kristian Fulton, LSU

WR Marquise Brown, Oklahoma
OL Cody Ford, Oklahoma

This draft is going to be deep at WR/TE. I'd be very happy with any of the top 10 WR or top 6 TE in the second round. At least one of these players should be available.

1. DK Metcalf, Mississippi
2. N'Keal Harry, Arizona State
3. Kelvin Harmon, NC State
4. Hollywood Brown, Oklahoma
5. JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Stanford
6. Riley Ridley, Georgia
7. Damarkus Lodge, Mississippi
8. AJ Brown, Mississippi
9. Hakeem Butler, Iowa State
10. Deebo Samuel, South Carolina

1. Noah Fant, Iowa
2. TJ Hockenson, Iowa
3. Dawson Knox, Mississippi
4. Irv Smith, Alabama
5. Kaden Smith, Stanford
6. Jace Sternberger, Texas A&M

I think we need to get either a serious talent opposite Marcus Williams at safety or a linebacker who can double as a safety. Haven’t had the time to really get into players outside of the games I watched already though.

LSUs Delpit is a good one though. As is Devin White. But they are first rounders. Out of our range.

Delpit is a sophomore and will not be drafted this year.

if we got Riley Ridley, i can't imagine the gameday announcers ever mentioning his family connections

This draft also has some good OTs. I like the top 5 if any make it to our 2nd round pick.

1. Jonah Williams, Alabama
2. Dalton Risner, Kansas State
3. Yodny Cajuste, West Virginia
4. David Edwards, Wisconsin
5. Greg Little, Mississippi

I would like to see the Saints draft Isaac Nauta. Remember watching him in one of the high school all star games (can’t remember if it was Under Armour or Army All-American) and being scared to death that he was going to be in the SEC. All the respect in the world to Jim Chaney, but his system really held Nauta back from being what he is. Insanely talented guy. Going to show well athletically. In an offense that can exploit matchups, he’ll be a far superior pro.

I think Willis will go quite a bit higher than 6th round. He was the best player on the field in every game this year except LSU.

Hoping we keep Ingram. But if we can’t, I love Devin Singletary from FAU.

I like Nauta, but I love Hockenson. I think Hock is George Kittle 2.0

Both Iowa TEs are great, but I think both will be gone before the Saints get their first pick if Hockenson declares. To me Nauta, along Alize Mack from Notre Dame, stand out as guys that profile well for what the Saints want in a pass catching TE with college production that wasn’t at all indicative of what they could be in a less vanilla offense.
