Looking over the draft every year there are always players that bear a striking resemblance to formers/current players in style and/or athleticism.

This year I just wanted to point out a few players that stick out most prominently for Saints fans.

Dwayne Haskins---Teddy Bridgewater
Jamal Custis--------Michael Thomas
Andy Isabella-------Brandin Cooks
Kaden Smith--------Billy Miller

Jaylon Ferguson - Marcus Davenport
Mecole Hardman - Ted Ginn

For those wondering why the Custis to Thomas Comparison:

They are almost physically identical carbon copies of each other in height, weight, and speed and both have gigantic 10+ inch hands.

When the Custis thread was posted the other day that guy looked like Thomas playing in a Syracuse Jersey.

Great thing is that he might be available in the 5th unlike Thomas.

I think Ferguson reminds me of Junior Galette.

Paris Campbell--------Donte Stallworth

Joe Jackson (Miami)----Darren Howard

Amani Oruwariye (Penn st)-----Dale Carter

Michael Jackson (Miami)------Eli Apple

They would have to trade up a few spots to land Ferguson at the top of the 2nd but Joe Jackson is a pick worthy of 62 as well.

He plays with power like Okafor and Darren Howard.

A very solid starting caliber end.

I also like Maxx Crosby as a developmental talent in rd 5 or 6 because of his combine DL best 6.89 3-cone and long arms but he needs tons of technique work.

That 3 cone suggests great pass rush potential but he is as raw as it gets.

His build reminds me of Aaron Schobel of the bills.

Custis also turned in a good Shrine game performance with 4 catches for 55 yds althouh he had one fumble

D.K. Metcalf ----Robert Meachem
Gary Jennings JR----Cameron Meridith

Lonnie Johnson (as safety)----Malcolm Jenkins)

Darnell Savage------Devin Bush

Debo Samuel---------Willie Snead

S/DB Taylor Rapp - Tyrann Mathieu
S/DB Nasir Adderley - Eric Weddle
DT/NT Khalen Saunders - Sheldon Rankins
DT/NT Gerald Willis - Larry Ogunjobi
EDGE/DE/OLB Jachai Polite - Yannick Ngakoue
EDGE/DE Jaylon Ferguson - Tank Lawrence
EDGE/DE/OLB Maxx Crosby - Jared Allen
EDGE/DE/DL Anthony Nelson - Justin Tuck
RB Darrell Henderson - AK
RB - Benny Snell - Chris Carson
TE Kahale Warring - Jimmy Graham
TE Zach Gentry - Kyle Rudolph
WR Preston Williams - Mike T
WR Debo Samuel - Anquan Boldin
WR NKeal Harry - TO
WR Hakeem Butler - Mike Evans
WR Penny Hart - Brandin Cooks

I was actually going to make the Rankins comparison for Saunders myself but he reminds me more of Casey Hampton because he is 25Lbs heavier than Rankins but adds just as much pressure.

Hart reminds me more of Tommylee Lewis than a Cole Beasley.

I love Butler but N'Keal Harry seems to have trouble changing directions and is a bit stiff

Nate Harvey had 14.5 sacks last year and was denied an extra year of eligibility yesterday.

He plays very similar to Von Miller but with less speed.

He could develop nicely into a Demarcus Lawrence or Elvis Dumervil-type pass rusher.

He had 3 sacks and several pressures in this game alone.
