Former Oakland Raider and Minnesota Viking running back Latavius Murray was added to the Saints roster as a free agent in the first wave of free agency in 2019. His job is simple, provide some of the offense that departed with Mark Ingram and, in the process, keep Alvin Kamara fresh.

The running backs group is the third installment in our rundown of all of the players to make up the 90-man roster which the Saints will take into training camp. We’ve started with the wide receivers, then the tight ends and now the running backs. It’s a relatively small group consisting of Alvin Kamara, Latavius Murray, Dwayne Washington, Devine Ozigbo and fullbacks Zach Line and Michael Burton.

The 53-man roster will only consist of four players though, three running backs and a fullback. We started our breakdown of the group with Alvin Kamara and up next is the likely number two, Latavius Murray.
