2019 NFL Draft DT John Cominsky vs Aaron Donald (2 Viewers)

Absolutely, but his technique seems fundamentally sound as well as his motor.

285lb DTs that run a 4.6 Don't grow on trees and he has all of the tools. To my knowledge there is only one in the NFL currently and the previous one was Warren Sapp. Atkins runs a 4.75 for comparison sake and Cam Jordan ran a 4.77 at the same weight at the combine in 2011.

Maybe someone, somewhere, has data on this, but I find that fast, highly athletic players aren't strong and durable as slower players.

There are exceptions, but I find most great, durable players are stronger rather then quicker and more agile. So I wouldn't let 1.5 sec slower in the 40 than the "ideal" player bother me. Rice, Kamara, Pierre, Walter Payton, and many great DL seem to support that. If I'm Ireland and Payton, if a player is great and durable in college, I give him a long look, no matter how slow.
