There will be a lot of bodies in Saints training camp gunning for spots on the final 53-man roster. Well, actually, not just a lot, 90 to be exact as the 90-man roster is what will be there when camp kicks off in a little more than six weeks. A huge chunk of those are with the wide receivers position group and those looking for a spot on the offensive line. Which is as it should be with both of those being offseason focuses.
The fifteen players currently on the 90-man training camp roster will be pared down to nine for the 53-man roster, four tackles, four guards and a center with most of those individuals able to play multiple positions. This is part of our breakdown of the entire 90-man roster getting ready for training camp. We’ll be doing an overview of each position group and a profile of each of the players vying for a roster spot within that group.
