The US Open starts tomorrow. Brooks Koepka will try to make it three in a row. Pebble will play at +/- 7000 yds and not give an appreciable edge to the longer hitters. Koepka, Woods, Johnson and McIlroy have gotten the early hype. Mickelson will be the sentimental favorite as he tries once again to achieve the career Grand Slam by winning his first US Open (six second-place finishes).

Will the USGA get it right this year? Let's hope so. They have a propensity to make courses overly ridiculous. Letting greens get brown is just silly.

FOX has the coverage for this event. Ten hours of coverage tomorrow. It will be on FOX Sports 1 from 11:30 - 6:30 CDT, and on FOX from 6:30 to 9:30 CDT.

Interesting that there was almost 3 1/2 hours gap between the last first flight tee time and the first tee time of the later flight. I'm guessing this may have been to attend to the greens if necessary. Poa grass grows fairly quickly and they may want to cut them back a small bit between flights. Maybe add a little water as well.
