Love killed it tonight. Rapoport and Charles Robinson from Yahoo are both saying he could go top 10.

We like to think it's a huge difference but acceleraton and gaining body position at the top of routes matters more than pure speed at the next level. He could definitely prove to be just as capable when the pads come on. I thought he looked tense and very powerful in his run, so it could have been just a poor time and he may not lose as much speed when pads come on compared to other guys...
But 4.47 and 4.27 is a HUGE difference in speed, 10 yard split or not.
His stride and track history actually has me expecting him to be better in the back half of the 40, as those guys tend to be bigger striders who beat guys with maintaining top speed, as opposed to acceleration. That said, his awesome vert would suggest great burst.
I feel like he will have a great shuttle, and average 3 cone (I thought he looked a little tight in the hips and didn't see TCU asking him to run very many technical routes). I only watched his highlights and 1 or 2 regular season games without all-22 though.
I’m not surprised by DPJ at all. He’s an unbelievable athlete. But he needs to refine his route running and play bigger/stronger. I thought he was one of the best high school receivers I had ever graded. He has untapped potential but needs development.Claypool with a 40" vertical too???
Incredible.
Can't say Im surprised by Reagor so much as I am by Ruggs and Peoples-Jones.
Thats nuts.
This wr class is shaping up to be more impressive than 2014 already.
Yikes. 4.51 for Ceedee Lamb
I still think he’s a late first to second rounder. Coming off an injury, I do not think this time will hurt him.Dang, that's definitely gonna hurt Laviska's stock

It is a huge difference, especially for a 40. At a top speed of 22 mph (good top speed for an NFL on field sprint and about where I'd expect explosive speed threats to be at 30-40 yds), a 0.2s difference is ~5.87 ft. That is nearly 2 yards of separation at that distance. In the NFL, that is the difference in Elite speed, vs Average speed at the WR position. We like to think it's a huge difference but acceleraton and gaining body position at the top of routes matters more than pure speed at the next level.
Antonio Brown ran a 4.48 but was 20lbs lighter than Reagor.

According to PFF Reagor beat people deep more often and by more yards than Jeudy did in 2018.It is a huge difference, especially for a 40. I do agree that acceleration and body positioning matters more than pure speed at the NFL level.
AB's 40 time and body weight isn't really that important. He wasn't an incredible WR because he was an incredible athlete by NFL standards. He was instead an incredible route technician, a la Mike Thomas, who forced defenders to respect the whole route tree. He's what people hope Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy, and those types turn into. If you think Reagor has that type of route running acumen and agility, then his 4.47 is plenty good enough. If not, his 4.47 looks a bit disappointing.
That is very believable. Beating people deep isn't really Jeudy's game. His specialty is more short and intermediate.According to PFF Reagor beat people deep more often and by more yards than Jeudy did in 2018.
I posted the article here yesterday somewhere.
Whatever the case, Reagor is exceptional at getting open deep.
