LSU has the #16 class with the commitment of 5-star SG Cam Thomas today. He picks LSU o er the likes of NC State, Auburn, UCLA and UConn. He is the #6 SG in this class. Thomas is in addition to current signees Jalen Cook (from Walker, LA) and three-star forward Bradley Ezewiro who plays on the same HS team as Thomas.

Wade getting back on track it seems...

Bumping this back to the top since today was the late signing day. LSU finishes with the #5 class according to 247. Lots of very promising talent is being added.

Cam Thomas, SG is the crown jewel of the class. He had more games of 40+ points than any other HS recruit. I expect his impact to be felt immediately.

Eric Gaines is listed at PG, however his game is lights out as a shooter with ability to score from all three levels. Scouts expect him to fill out and mature over the next couple years. He is the #16 PG in the country.

Mwani Wilkinson, SG/SF is an athletic wing player from LV. The scouting reports say he has long arms, ridiculous athleticism and one of the best defenders in HS basketball. He has shown the ability to lock down players at the 2, 3 and 4 position.

Jalen Cook, PG from Walker, LA is the PG of the future. Many feel he is better than his ranking shows. He was an excellent WR, but will play only BB at LSU. He's a very good deep ball shooter and has shown to be a very physical player, like most football/basketball athletes turn out to be.

Bradley Ezewiro is the post player the team missed last season. He's listed as a C, but PF and C are pretty interchangeable in basketball today. He is the #29 Center and #10 recruit from Cali. Scouts say that while only 6-8, he has long arms which makes him a great defender. He's physically tough with a good jump shot. He still needs to work on post moves.

Also being added are Shareef O'Neal, who is transferring from UCLA and Josh LeBlanc, transferring from Georgetown. Shareef is of course the son of Shaq. LeBlanc almost committed to LSU from Madison Prep a couple years ago. I *think* both transfers will be able to play starting in the Spring Semester.

This is a very good class...

Damn. LSU gonna be elite across the board. Football, baseball, gymnastics, track and field, and finally basketball
