Aw, shucks, Luke. You left my name on the trailer. That is so dear.
Geaux Luke on the countdown! What a great job you do! Love seeing the thread. its very much a labor of love for the board. Thanks, Luke, for keeping up the tradition.
95 Days to go. The man who wears #95 for the SAINTS is defensive tackle Albert Huggins. Huggins was an undrafted free agent out of Clemson who signed with Houston. He has played with six NFL teams since, and spent last year with the SAINTS on both the practice squad and on the 53 man roster.
At number 94, we salute sack record holder Cam Jordan. Cam has the most sacks by one defender against a single opposing quarterback. Matt Ryan is that quarterback. Cam has 107 total sacks now and 23 of them were of Ryan. I am sure Ryan is happy to be out of our division.
#93, David Onyamata. Onyemata is a native of Lagos, Nigeria who did not grow up playing football. As a matter of fact he had not even seen a game until he moved to Canada to attend college in 2011. 5 years later he became the top Canadian collegiate prospect in the 2016 NFL draft and he was selected by the SAINTS in the 4th round.
#91, Jaleel Johnson.
Johnson was drafted in the fourth round by the Vikings in 2017. For the first three years with the Vikings he was a backup defensive tackle, but in 2020 he was a starter for all 16 games after Michael Pierce opted out of the season due to Covid concerns. Last spring he signed with the Texans but was released at the end of pre-season. The SAINTS signed him to their practice squad last September. Johnson was only with the SAINTS a week before the Texans signed him again off the SAINTS practice squad. In April of this year the SAINTS signed him a second time. Welcome back, Jaleel Johnson.
