So I know its a long shot at this point of the season, but the Pelicans are currently 3.5 games out of the 8th seed and, fingers crossed, have seemed to turn the corner. Currently we are .5 game behind Dallas, 2.5 games behind Portland and 3.5 games behind Denver.

We play Denver 3 times in those last 11 games. Coming up on a 3 game road trip against, Houston, Denver and Utah. This trip will say a lot about this team.

We win 2 of those 3, one win being against Denver, and we're certainly in the mix. I just don't want to make the playoffs and be bounced in a sweep Rd 1 against GSW

The way they are playing right now, I just can't see a sweep. Plus under Gentry, even with all of his faults, the team has played well against GSW and the addition of Cousins lines up well against their weakness.

We need a legit on the court general of a PG. Jrue at the #2 has been a good move so far, but with a premier #1 out there this team would be very impressive.

I'm more worried about Portland than Denver. They have a much easier schedule than both the Pelicans and the Nuggets. I think we go 7-4 and miss the playoffs by a game or 2 with the Blazers getting the 8 seed.

I am still not sold that Jrue with a full off season can't slide back to the 1 with this team. But saying that, if he isn't the PG for this team, we are not getting a premier PG this year. Curry is either staying in GS or going to Charlotte. The word is that Chris Paul and Cousins are not fond of each other, so I can't see him coming back to New Orleans. The other options out there are by no means premier.

guys... realistically speaking if we sweep Denver we control our own destiny. we don't know how good this team is yet... if we make the playoffs we will be dangerous.

I think we go 9-2 to close out and get the 8th seed

We don't control our own destiny because of Portland. We could go undefeated the rest of the way and the Blazers could still get that spot. They are 4 games ahead of us, only play each other once, and have a much easier schedule. I think it is a little too late, but I am still impressed at the way we are playing now and this will be a nice springboard into next season.

I wasn't aware that CP3 and Boogies disliked each other. Interesting:scratch:
