The Bills had no answer for Grant, Smith, and Ellis on passing downs. Draft a hybrid OLB/DE rusher for passing situations and teams will have a very hard time on 3rd and long.

how do you think jon vilma feels about the 3-4 look. we know he wasn't happy about that alignment in N.Y. how do you think he likes it?

There's a time and a place for it. A lot of times it will be more beneficial to use a 4-3, especially when Clancy is back.

But I agree, I do think you will see us draft a pass rush specialist who can blitz from the OLB spot.

Good point. I meant only on 3rd down passing situations, not full time. Vilma is good in coverage . We need someone on the outside who can get to the QB in those situations and also play some situational pass rushing in the 4-3 scheme (a better Bobby McCray if you will).

Nope. Keep players who are versatile. That's the key to this defense. 3-4, 4-3, 4-6, whatever.

Yup thats Williams thing, he mixes it up every week. We will see something else next week.

barwin with 4.4 speed would've been great for that blitzer role but malcolm jenkins has really come through on ST.

keep both schemes.

i love the flexibility that we have.

it's awsome.

What makes this defense so special is that it's everything. Just like someone said, the 3-4, 4-3, 46, whatever. I think Vilma likes to win more than he likes personal accolades.

We just signed Vilma to a 5 yr contract, we need to keep him happy. I say we just continue to switch it up like we've been doing.

I say we bring in a DE/OLB period. Forget just to run a 3-4 defense.

Scratch that...I want an OLB/DE, that way he's a linebacker first, but that would mean he's got pass rusher ability.

Anyway, I'm not even worryin' about the draft just yet. I'm ready for the Jets.

It's ridiculous to think we could be a full time 3-4 D!

I like both schemes. A very good 3-4 rusher would be great. I'm just glad to finally get something out of our defensive ends. Fantastic game by the entire DLine. Even when Edwards wasn't sacked, he was consistently bothered. When they got something going running the ball, it was just great individual effort by Jackson and not because the defense wasn't doing their job.

Yes, Jenkins is a special teams beast. Even if he starts one day I would still play him on special teams.
