The role of offensive lineman is about as inglorious a position as there is on the football field, save for perhaps a fullback or a special teams ace. They're constantly in the trenches, paving the way for a flashier player to get all the glitz and glamour from fans and all the highlight-reel recognition from sports media.
So when offensive linemen do hog the spotlight, it's usually for a pretty significant reason. Week 3 proved to have a pair of those plays, one of which was much more obvious than the other. The more obvious of those two plays occurred on Monday night, when Chiefs tackle Eric Fisher hauled in a lob from Patrick Mahomes.
That was a can't-miss play, clearly. But while the other play wasn't as easy to spot, it may have been more impressive.
