They'll probably do the same with Tomsula.:jpshakehead:

In all reality, what does this mean then? No way to go around that and hire him and allow him a promotion because he's under contract?

I sense panic in the Niners. Would we ever block anyone from interviewing our assistants?

That is very childish. I hope that we can interview Tomsula. This is a move made out of fear.

Apparently no way around it. I'm guessing that if the Saints have interest in Tomsula, SF would likely block that as well.

We didn't block anyone this year apparently with Kromer and others leaving for other jobs, don't recall if we have blocked anyone in the past though.

Jim Harbaugh once again demonstrates his immaturity. I can't believe that goes over well with the staff, though.

I am trying to remember hearing about any other coach doing this. Anyone? At this point, what an idiot you would have to be to sign a contract with this team knowing he could do this.

Hindering another's ability to make more money. Not exactly a good selling point with potential future hires for the whiners. Way to go, Jimmy!

Yup.
In the future, why would a promising assistant coach take a job with him and he can't move up on another team?

Another thing....
With as much as the NFL meddles in everyone's affairs, why don't they change this stupid rule?
