Saints 49ers fans are giving us ZERO chance at winning... (1 Viewer)

But what does that have to do with why 49er fans should have any reason to fear us? They see a 10-2 team that has eeked out their last two victories, almost let TB back in the game after jumping to a 20-0 lead, and took an entire half to wake up against ARZ. If SF had those as their most recent 4 victories as well as an embarrassment against a 1-7 team as their resume over the last 5 games, would you be cowering before them?

No, but I wouldn't be pretending like it would be an "easy win" either. Contrary to what you are saying, we still won those games. I think a lot of people are annoyed that we aren't blowing teams out of the water. Well, if we beat the 49ers by single digits, I will be happy with that because a win is a win.

Did you gouge your own eyes out after we went up 26-9? What you're saying is basically the equivalent of an alcoholic saying they stayed sober cuz they didn't drink until they got home from work.

Oh FFS.

If you can't recognize that being up 26-9 with six minutes left is not "struggling mightily the win" then forking go cry in your pillow about how we suck I guess. We gave up one garbage TD trying to burn clock playing prevent. When we needed a stop, we got it. We won by 8, on the road, against a division rival on four days rest and are 10-2.

Watch more football if you think good teams dominate every single week. Hell, go watch the 49ers.

Yes. But our fans are agreeing with them without acknowledging that they've struggled against a couple of weak teams also.

The Niners' resume is rife with weaknesses but at least they've actually won some games convincingly. Every game we've thought we'd won convincingly involved some degree of choking on the back end. I'm not crowning them but I am saying that any team with a winning record should feel confident that they can hang with us since even patsies are remaining competitive with us.

And now you're changing it from "fearing" to "respectful". Just bow out of the debate if you're gonna need to move the goalposts to salvage your argument.

Learn how words work. This thread isn't about 49ers fans politely respecting the upcoming game. It's about them them giving us zero chance to win. The fact that they aren't at least respecting the Saints shows they are morons.

Struggling mightily to win definitely includes any game that is in doubt in the closing minutes which this one was once we decided that the football was a live grenade on onside kicks. We also gave up a garbage time FG but you're obviously gonna try to gloss over that since it refutes your argument. And where the hell did I say or even imply that we were gonna blow teams out every week. Put down the ether rag and pick up Hooked on Phonics.

We actually beat a 7 point spread against a division rival on the road on Thursday night due to defensive play with special teams going 4/4 on FGs. Yeah, I agree. That"s a good result IMO.

This thread is basically Saints fans being butthurt that other fans don't think our team is swell and me laughing at y'all for being thin-skinned enough to care. For all the "Y'all should just be grateful to have a 10-2 team!!!" comments some of y'all make, you'd think y'all could look in the mirror and apply it to yourselves since y'all apparently aren't content with the record yourselves if some niner fans' opinions have y'all up in arms.

As the creator of this thread, I can assure you that no butts were hurt on my end.

Let me tell you how lame the Niner Faithful is.

REALLY ForkKING LAME.

I lived in SF for 20 years. That fanbase is comprised of gross tech companies giving out box seats, tragic people from the Central Valley (think Modesto or Stockton), and some random Filipinos who are actually pretty cool.

But, my point is, it's arguably the least educated fan base in the NFL. I'm not joking. I am entirely positive that over 80% cannot name more than 5 players on the team. So whatever they "think" or "predict" doesn't mean sh**. They literally aren't sure if they're at a 49ers game, or a Warriors game, or a Giants game, or a Sharks game. They just know that their disgusting tech company comped them 8 tickets for a "sports thingy".

Whatever. They suck.
