no. especially if only 3ft. actually it shouldn't matter. just a selling gimmick.

to clarify, hdmi has a massive bandwidth that has a lot of room for a signal.

Hold on a sec.. Not as clear cut as Zeetes said.

There are different versions of HDMI. 4K requires version 2.0 to support 4K at 60hz. You need 2.1 for Dynamic HDR.

To be safe, make sure you get a cable labeled HDMI 2.1. However, don't overpay for HDMI cables. The pricey ones just aren't worth it. Monoprice.com is still one of the best places to buy GOOD cables at GOOD prices..
