Turnovers proved costly for the New Orleans Saints on Friday night (Aug. 17) as they lost their second preseason game to the Arizona Cardinals 20-15 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
A few of the highlights for the Saints were backup quarterback J.T. Barrett’s late touchdown run, wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith’s three catches for 60 yards and the starters seemingly avoiding injuries.
But, as is typically the case in the preseason, the Saints showed they have plenty of work to do before the regular season begins on Sept. 9.
