Did Not Practice
DT Robert Thomas (Illness)

Has anyone heard what Ellerbe's injury actually is? I mean, how or when he got injured...

He was fine all friggin preseason and then come week one...injured. It's getting old.

Seems like a pulled quad. He is either made of glass, has an incredibly low pain tolerance or he's sandbagging.

What difference is he gonna make for the defense if he can't play? He hasn't played or practiced in at least 3 weeks.

Our LB's, IMO, are far below average. Running backs...slightly above average and Spiller apparently did not fit and he hasn't exactly been the pillar of health either.

Ellerbe, when healthy, has been a difference maker. With the state of the defense, we have no choice but to hope somehow Ellerbe gets healthy.

I am not happy about his health either. If he doesn't get healthy and Spiller shows up on some other team and is a difference maker. Then Saints might have made the wrong choice.

Its time to part ways with Danelle Ellerbe ... enough is enough ... this guy is made of glass .... he is always injured. ..

LBs aren't below average. Laurinaitis is, but Robertson is good and Anthony was the only LB to have a TFL last week.

Ellerbe might be a difference maker when he's healthy but HE'S ALMOST NEVER HEALTHY. I understand that Spiller didn't know the playbook. Ok fine. Cut Murphy, let Spiller return punts and kicks and give him a small package of offensive plays he can handle while Cadet handles the rest of the satellite back duties.

Ellerbe is literally contributing nothing.

One silver lining to Ellerbee's injury. Nick Underhill of the Advocate wrote during his review of Saints-Raiders film that the Saints need to find a way to keep Craig Robertson on the field when Ellerbee returns.
