A politician that speaks his mind with no double-talk (1 Viewer)

terrible.

No wonder the radical left love him so much, he gets his talking points directly from the Daily Kos.

"I am the friend of my friend. That is all".

I don't think Brophy was being serious.. the negative rep was probably unwaranted.

I thought the video was funny. I would have thought it was funny if he was talking to CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc.

Even if his mind is twisted, his philosophy is a horribly flawed sham, and he stands for everything I despise... yeah it is kind of nice to actually know where someone stands instead of constantly wondering if they are just shoveling $#!@ and pandering to what they think will get them votes... of course Dictators have that luxury as they do not have to be elected and they can just have anyone who openly disagrees mysteriously disappear.

Then you must also love a man who dislikes golfers and plans to fine TV stations that broadcast Family Guy.

If you have concern about the next generation, then you should be keeping an eye on Chavez and his socialist revolution. He intends to change this hemisphere and forcibly. He may not get Honduras this year but he won't give up trying. It is a vital link to commercialism in the area especially Puerto Cortez. He is corrupt as are his ALBA buddies: Noreiga, Castro, Morales, Insulza, Zelaya and Correa. These leaders have had their political rivals mysteriously vanish and have surpising tragic accidents.

If you support a Socialist, Authoritarian democracy then he's your guy.
I prefer to stick with a capitalistic, conservative democracy based on the freedoms provided by our forefathers.

I'm still fascinated that you let your chain get yanked by the media on these tin pot dictators.

Snooze.

have you seen his body of work on SR?

I have. It's generally moderate and common sense positions with a bit of wit. Based on his body of work I can't imagine he's actually impressed with Chavez from a policy standpoint. Like me he may be impressed with how charismatic he his and see how he could fire up the uneducated and underprivileged or the just plain stupid but still think he's a complete loon.

Yes - the OP WAS tongue-in-cheek (apparently that wasn't clear), I just thought him going off on this brand of cable channel was hilarious.

However, if you want to really take it further, non I didn't find what he said to be particularly objectionable (no matter where he sides on politics or the boogey-man trigger "C" word )
