There is still more to come, but the 2018 season was one to remember for the New Orleans Saints from a statistical standpoint.

NFL and franchise records were broken while New Orleans marched to the league’s best record, at 13-3. Here is a sampling of some of the best numbers compiled by the Saints in the 2018 regular season.

Drew Brees breaks two NFL records, Peyton Manning's and his own

The Saints quarterback started the year on record watch, as he needed just 1,495 yards coming into the season to break Peyton Manning’s all-time passing yardage mark. The stage appeared set for him to break the record at home on ‘Monday Night Football,’ and he did just that, vaulting into first place in appropriate fashion with a 62-yard touchdown pass to Tre’Quan Smith in one of the best moments of the NFL season.

Drew Brees finished the season with 3,992 passing yards, putting him at 74,437 for his career.

But beyond that, it was a remarkable year for Brees, who will turn 40 a few days before this year’s NFC Championship Game. ...
