ABC news: NFL plan for teams to have some fans in stands (1 Viewer)

Another question are all players going to want to play with people in stands? Does the NFLPA have a say in this too? Looks like NBA,NHL,Golf,NASCAR , UFC, MLB will roll without fans. NBA & MLB discusses some sort of bubble plan where everything will happen as far as games in one location.

NHL, MLB, and the NBA have other issues to deal with, having teams located in Canada. Canada has already said that any athletes entering Canada will be subject to the current 14-day quarantine policy that is in place. So they will either have to play all games in the US, or have some lengthy delays in between games.

The US Canadian border is currently scheduled to re-open on May 15th, but that date could be pushed back.

Trying to find the other article that mentioned this, but this is the best that I can come up with for now. It doesn't specifically mention the 14-day quarantine policy.

The whole "fear factor" of this thing is dwindling as the days and weeks go by, and it's only the very early part of May. By September, most people will have accepted it as one of the bugs our society has to contend with and move on with their lives. It's either going to be a problem for you - somewhere, anywhere, or nowhere - or it isn't.

Besides, the space between fans and NFL players is the very definition of social distancing, unless the players are jumping into the stands or something.

You must live in a perfect world? Tell your theory to the CDC.

Latest ESPN Poll as of May 4th

It will be freaky to watch a game with only the announcers and players making noise. Will they have a Foley artist insert a cheering track to simulate the fans? I think they already go over the line with the simulated dirt clouds when the slide and tackle.

The tech existes to put an app on our phones that lets them aggregate our cheering and play it through the sound system at the stadiums. An algorithm would balance the ratio between home and away fans.
