FLOWERY BRANCH - John Abraham, who has played only two games for the Atlanta Falcons, returned to practice Wednesday and may take the field for a crucial contest against the New Orleans Saints.
Abraham went down with a groin injury in the closing minutes of a dominating performance against Carolina in Week 1.
After sitting out the next three games, Abraham returned to face the New York Giants. He had a sack and forced a fumble, but finished the game on the sideline when the groin tightened up. Nine days later, he underwent abdominal surgery that was related to his injury.
