So apparently there is a student vote next week to decide a new mascot (Colonel Reb isn't a choice obviously) and much like how Delta State students a few decades ago got together and wrote in "Fighting Okra" (and thus they became it), there is an effort going on now among Ole Miss students to all write "Admiral Ackbar" in. No joke.

Unfortunately, LucasFilm would probably slap the bejesus out of any program that tried to do something like that....although you never know, he's pretty weird and could consent.
Unfortunately, it'll never happen, the powers that be at Ole Miss are too stuck in the mud to allow anything silly like that, regardless of student referendum.
