I didn't know he had a brain aneurysm 3 years after retirement and now kidney failure. I know some feel he was a bad person, but I wish poor health on no man.

Haynesworth in 'dire need' of kidney donor

Former NFL defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, 38, is suffering from kidney failure and has taken to Instagram to announce that he is in "dire need" of a donor for a kidney transplant.

What causes kidneys to fail at such an early age? Is it the drugs needed to continue playing through the pain? I wish there was more culpability from the NFL for retired player injuries and maladies.

Usually it’s one of three things or the combination of all three...
Genetics, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
 
Sucks for the guy even if he was a pink in the league
