so far we got Dan Morgan as a possible starter on the outside (class of 2000; Butkus, Bednarik, Nagurski, etc award winner)

Vilma anchoring the middle (class of 2003; finalist fo Butkus; AP D-ROY in 2004)

what I was thinking was that we draft Tavares Gooden out of Miami in the 3rd round and give him a shot... the guy is shooting up alot of peoples boards... all I've been hearing about is how athletic he is... most draft experts think he'll sneak into the 2nd round after being a late-round selection at the end of the season, but if he falls to us that would be a great pick... he ran a 4.57 at the Miami pro-day and jumped 35 inches at the combine... the man is a beast

btw, it was reported a couple days ago that Gooden visited the Saints

I'm not saying he should come in a start right away, but I think he'd be a big contributor and a potential star down the road

I wouldn't say "most" sites. Here are some other write ups on Gooden. I will agree, he does look like a good LB and maybe a tad bit under-rated because of a bad Miami year. The biggest knocks on him are heart and durability.
