That's what I'm thinking. We had to extend Unger to get Kruger. Is there anyone else to extend or is Brees it?

Also have to consider that was a 1 year deal for Kruger. If it's a multi-year deal for Sitton then we might be able to squeeze it in. Brees should have the same attitude toward Sitton as he did for Josh Norman, hell he should want a pay cut just so we can land Sitton. It could be the difference between Brees making it through the season healthy or injured.

I thought Slauson was a no brainer too and it was never even leaked we showed interest in him.

The only thing that works is extending Brees to get 10 million out of the way is the only option we got. I'm pretty sure Brees's and his agent are sitting petty with their contract demand.

You are correct, Teams must be under the cap at all times.

He would be worth the $7 million per year. Make the trade for a sixth round pick which could become a fifth if he plays 16 games. The cost is worth it in terms of both dollars and games won. On the open market we will have to pay more money to get him. He will help us win multiple games. Do what must be done to win. Whatever it takes as long as he passes the physical.
