You said it, "IF" they can build a good line.Bucs usually play the Saints tough with Jameis Winston and you want them to sign Brady? They already have weapons and if they build a good line around him he can still play.
Here's where the Buccaneers' offensive line has ranked in sacks allowed and QB hits over the last decade...
- 2019: 22nd in sacks allowed (47), t-27th in QB hits (106)
- 2018: t-17th in sacks allowed (41), t-28th in QB hits (109)
- 2017: t-19th in sacks allowed (40), 23rd in QB hits (100)
- 2016: t-16th in sacks allowed (35), 28th in QB hits (109)
- 2015: t-4th in sacks allowed (27), 29th in QB hits (109)
- 2014: t-29th in sacks allowed (52), 32nd in QB hits (124)
- 2013: t-26th in sacks allowed (47), t-10th in QB hits (75)
- 2012: t-3rd in sacks allowed (26), t-8th in QB hits (66)
- 2011: t-9th in sacks allowed (32), 5th in QB hits (64)
- 2010: 10th in sacks allowed (30), t-14th in QB hits (72)
So over the last decade they've had 2 OL's in the bottom 3rd of the league in both sacks and hits (2014 and 2019), 3 OL's where they were in the bottom 3rd of hits and in the middle 3rd of sacks (2016-2018), 2 seasons where they were in the top 3rd in one but bottom 3rd in the other (2013 and 2015), 1 season where they were middle 3rd in hits and top 3rd in sacks (2010), and 2 seasons where they were in the top 3rd of both sacks and hits (2011 and 2012).
Over the last 3 seasons, Buccaneer QB's have been sacked at least 40 times and hit at least 100 times (128 sacks and 315 hits).
Here's the number of times Brady has been sacked and hit in that same span.
- 2019: 28 sacks (t-5th), 90 hits (t-18th)
- 2018: 21 sacks (3rd), 68 hits (4th)
- 2017: 35 sacks (t-13th), 84 hits (t-15th)
- TOTAL: 84 sacks, 242 hits

I just don't see their offensive line making that big of a jump in one off season unless they start trading for some proven studs and absolutely nail their draft like we did in 2017.
