I have been reading threads for an hour trying to find a mention of this but have come up empty and I can't think of a good phrase to do a search.

Friday afternoon, I was in a sports bar watching Sports Nation being broadcast. I was more interested in the goings on in the background on Decatur Street than what was being discussed on stage.

Suddenly I saw a sight that had me howling with laughter. I know many of you have seen the Calvin (of Calvin & Hobbes) peeing on this or that stickers on the back of numerous vehicles.

I also know that you are familiar with our Saints cartoon caricature figure.

What I saw was some genius who had made a two foot tall cutout of our Saints cartoon figure with a brilliant yellow stream emanating from it ala Calvin that he was holding in his left hand.

In his right hand was a two foot tall cutout of Roger Goodell's head.

The combined effect was the Saints cartoon figure urinating on Roger's head.

I saw it before the camera angle changed and ran down the bar to tell a couple of friends about what I had seen. In the middle of my description, the camera returned to the correct angle and there it was again... in perfect focus and expressing the perfect description of my feelings for Roger Goodell.

Did no one else see this? Either way, I offer my sincere congratulations to the guy who came up with this very creative way of expressing his and my feelings.

Hahaha, yeah man, my roommate saw that and told me about it. Wish I could have seen it. We need more photobomb type scenarios such as that!

Thanks for the compliments. I was going to post a thread about how disappointed I am with NOPD. Earlier in the day me and my buddy made into the espn zone where they were taping and held the signs up. Keyshawn, young, dilfer, etc all saw the signs and were laughing there arse off. We were then promptly escorted out by espn security and NOPD. We then proceeded to go behind the gated area still in view in the background but on the public street and tried to hold the signs up. The espn security director again sent NOPD after us. We were shadowed by him for over 30 mins to make sure we didn't hold the signs up. He also threatened us that we would be arrested if we tried to hold them up again in the background even though we were on a public street.

When I inquired as to what we would be arrested for I was told disturbing the peace. I then told him that was violating my 1st amendment freedom of speech rights. He said he didn't care. He then said espn said I was disturbing their Peace
so I would have to go to jail. He said they would keep me there all weekend till after the Super Bowl was over so there wouldn't be any future issues.

He admitted it would be bs charges but they were told by the mayor to bring any potential goodell 'problems' to jail and they would deal with them when the Super Bowl was over. He added you may beat the charge but you ain't gonna beat the ride.

Jus goes to show you goodell has the power to take away your basic rights of a us citizen. And we thought we had a chance in fighting this egomaniac. I see y he feels so welcome in the city, he turned the NOPD into the Gestapo

We took a lot of pics so I'm sure it's on the web somewhere. We also broke them out for the season opener against the skins and wwl had a picture of us on its website.

That's total BS. Am I surprised, not in the least. And people wonder why police, big business (ESPN & NFL) and government aren't trusted. They care not about your rights, only their wants.

freaking wow. I knew we had no shot of being heard. Should have seen it coming from the mayor. I guess that has to be his official position. I don't know though. :jpshakehead:

its both sad and necessary that our local and state government would submit to the nfl and its constitution violating demands. Cmon whodats, we all see the writing on the wall, Even tho we are the best at hosting SBs, Godell, the NFL, and espn have the power to spin the view on our great town and convince idiots that cities like Indianapolis, and Miami are comparable. We are the only city, in the opinion of my west coast friends, that should host the event because of party atmosphere that is already ingrained in the city. Roger is really starting to look like a little B-word. I mean, the guy wants people arrested for showing how they feel about him. I could go to Pennsylvania ave. right now and stand outside of the gates of the white house with a sign bashing the president and even the secret service will respect my rights, but hold a sign up with a fictional cartoon giving Hitler a golden shower, and i might have to sit in jail waiting to see the judge on monday. this Shyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyt is starting to really bother me. I mean really, really bother me.
