Ann Coulter will back Clinton over McCain (1 Viewer)

Three issues: the Supreme Court, abortion, Bill.

And "conservatives" will be voting for Hillary? If McCain is the nominee and if Rush and Ann in mid-October are still leading the charge for Hillary, they will be shorthly thereafter be looking for honest employment.

These are the stages:

1. Anger (because Romney is their choice and the nomination is still in play)

2. Disbelief (if McCain routs Romney and becomes the de facto nominee)

3. Skepticism (to keep McCain honest)

4. Total Support (because of who the Democratic nominee might be-- see the three issues above)

:ezbill: Well, the question wasn't addressed to anyone in particular so I thought I'd chime in.

Exactly! They're serious political commentators in the same way that Paris is a serious actress...or singer...or...or...whatever else she does. :hookline:

Just curious....could you please name some serious political commentators in your opinion? I'm just interested to see which ones you think are serious and which ones are not.

I agree. I also think that Ann Coulter's "logic" (for lack of a better word) is that, should a "fake" (to use her thoughts) conservative like McCain get the nod, it's almost better to have Hillary in office in the hopes that she proves to be a socialist in office and mobilizes the country to vote a "real" conservative into office in 2012...and for all eternity thereafter. That's probably her (and Rush's) thought process in the matter. No one claimed that it was intelligent.

And as for Paris Hilton? After 5 years, she finally did something worthy of my attention! :9:

Roll that beautiful bean footage!

What the heck, I figure this is at least as newsworthy as anything Ann Coulter has to say. Besides, it's FRIDAY!!!!

And since you thread jacked your own thread, I thought I'd had something to the celebrity news for you, since it's Friday and all. :ezbill: :

Eva Mendes is in rehab for substance abuse in Utah(yeah, the same place Lohan was in.)

Just for you DD. :)

Paris certainly has a strong jawline. :hihi:

It could be some of the main stream R's trying to push Hillary up because they know if she gets the nomination it is the only way the elephants have a chance.

Yea right, this @#$% is just saying this for pub to jump on the "bash McCain" train. I'd like to be a fly on the wall just to see who she really votes for if it's between McCain/Clinton. I have a hard time believing she would vote for Clinton no matter how much she dislikes McCain or thinks he's bad for Republicans. Like I said I don't doubt that she doesn't like McCain but I highly doubt she really pulls that lever for Clinton if she's the nominee.

Just curious....could you please name some serious political commentators in your opinion? I'm just interested to see which ones you think are serious and which ones are not.

Bob Schieffer on CBS immediately comes to mind and he writes some scathing commentary with wit and a turn of phrase which I envy.

Candy Crowley. CNN, proves that looks aren't everything. She does her homework and gets the facts. Good all-around reporter who knows all the in's and outs of Washington.

Jim Lehrer, PBS, does straight-forward, hard news style commentary chock full of facts. Though some folks hang a "liberal" tag on him because he's on PBS, I feel he's an honest broker and a damn good anchor and commentator for those who love hard facts.

In the political pundit arena, I'm a bit of a homer because I really like listening to Carville. Unlike the other pundits and our favorite whipping boy, Dan Rather, Carville called the 2004 election correctly hours before any of the networks even dared to do so. Then, he proceeded to dissect what Bush had done right and what Kerry had done wrong. The man is a freaking genius.

Hope that answers your question, Shockmo.
