I know that Drew Brees must have been facing some heat after we had the 3 of 4 losses after the Bye week. Most noted at the time was how Drew's turnover stats were among the prominent reasons for the losses.

From the time that Drew was first interviewed about those setbacks he NEVER passed the blame to anyone else. In fact he said two remarkable (in hindsight) things during those interviews...

1.) He had to correct those mistakes.
2.) He was going to correct those mistakes.

Despite the odds and the injuries to some key players, he has managed to do just that these last three weeks.

Absolutely NO turnovers from Drew since that post-Bengal game press conference.

What a leader!!!

How can you not admire a guy like that?!?!?! :9:

That's what you get with a veteran QB. He's been on the hot seat before - a lot hotter than losing 3 of 4 and dropping to 6-4. 2003 in SD was downright ugly. But he learned a lot about himself and what it takes to succeed.

He knows how to dig in, analyze, assess and adjust.

That's what you should get from a veteran QB... however...

Recent history has shown that there are a lot of experienced QBs out there who haven't fared nearly as well as what Brees has done, particularly with a team as young and inexperienced as this one.

Her has truly been a coach on the field! :ezbill:
