It's unreal that another victim was found today. That brings the storms total to 1,697 dead.

Unfortunately, I don't find it unbelievable. In most of the 9th Ward, near the levee breach, those houses were just piles of rubble. No one has gone through there with enough detail to say there are no more there. But it definitely sad. I bet there are more.

Nobody wants to hear about this. Remember, the American attention span is only so long. Can we focus on something else like Britney Spears' missing underwear or something?

So I guess she's been on the missing persons list for over a year? It strikes me as odd that her neighbors, friends, and family didn't call anyone's attention to the fact that their neighbor/friend/family member had been missing ever since Katrina.

But definitely a terrible situation either way.

They will find more when they start raising those buildings.

There are at least a few dozen more bodies in those rubble heaps yet to be found (if ever).
