It wasnt that big a gamble when you consider the contract structure. It was essentially a One Year tryout contract with an option for 5 more.It was a huge gamble (FO wise) to give Brees that contract. I think we were all holding our breath. But I am amazed how well he is playing. As good (if not better) than in 2004!!!
lets hope so........I thought his arm looked really weak earlier in the year, but last Sunday I was really surprised with the longer throws he made and their velocity. I wonder if his arm is gonna be a little stronger than it ever was due to the rehab and focusing on his throwing muscles so much in workouts.
