There is a very simple software MOD available out there that allows users to mod their Wii (depending on version of software running) and I was curious if anyone has had much experience with messing around with one. Wii is not known for it's online element as much as the other 2 so modding presents less problems. The fact is I am looking for a reason to even reconnect this little piece of worthless, wretched, contemptible junk. Modding a Wii will not make the games created for the system suddenly better but it could remove the feeling of being sodomized everytime you pay $50 for one. Anyone ever messed with one?

No links to instructions or info on modding in this thread please. You guys are capable of doing your own research. :9:

I haven't done it, but I've, um, read about it. Seems cool.

check out wiihacks.com,I was thinking about it a while back since i don't play online really so who cares about being banned. To me it seems like it alters the games like a game jeannie or something?

I did the software mod. It was easy to do and works GREAT. The best part about doing it is the ability to use nes, snes, and genesis emulators.

Do the software Mod. It can be a little time consuming, but it works. It won't lessen the feeling of having been sodomized as you realize there are no games for the Wii worth playing.

Got the Homebrew channel on but I have no idea how to get the Backup channel on. Not as easy as advertised.
