Although technically just a website and not an app, I'm loving being able to text seamlessly from anywhere I have a web browser. I've been jealous that iPhone users had this pretty basic functionality and now Android has it, but not just for Mac--any computer. The interface is basically the same as on your phone if you have Android messages installed. Hit the little 3 dots in upper right hand corner, choose "messages for web" and you'll go to https://messages.android.com/ and scan the barcode, and boom, you're synced and ready to start texting.
Great for those of us who spend copious amounts of time on the computer for work and don't want to have to switch back to grab our phones if we get a message.
