Anyone with Comcast and NFL Network... (1 Viewer)

Can you check if your NFL Network is comming through clearly? I just got a new cable box and its the only channel thats not working right.

Saints game on btw.

Question about the Comcast digital cable box. Is it also some kind of DVR?

(Sorry to threadjack, I'm getting digital cable put in in the next week or two and had that question.)

Actually, thats the reason for the new box. They upgraded my old one for free with one that has DVR (also got free DVR for 6 months).

When we first got Comcast, that was the only channel I couldn't pick up. They finally came out a few times and figured out the boxed was set up wrong. They eventually swapped boxes, and it's been fine ever since. And yes, it was a HD-DVR box.

I just got the upgraded box as well, and both NFLN channels (regular and HD) are coming through fine. Granted, my HD is not HD since I now need a HDMI/HDMI cable, unlike the other one we had (which was HDMI on the tv end only)...grrrr....and I simply cannot get the remote to stay synched with the tv in terms of turning it on/off...I reset it, and it works, but the next time I turn it off, it simply will not turn the tv on in addition to the cable box. Plus, my volume is much lower with the new box...seems like I have to have it up almost all the way to hear it in the kitchen, and it wasn't nearly that "soft" before. Needless to say, so far I'm not a fan of the new box...:grumpy:

I do like the free-for-6-months DVR, however...that may get addicting pretty quickly!

Primadox, try going into the menu of the dvr and find the volume settings, increaseing the ouput volume there might work.
